Meal plans... sound good?

Should i get a meal plan? I have no idea how to cook as of now, but hey, i can and will learn :) Yes, i'll learn even if i do get a plan.. but the plan definately takes the pain out of some of it.

Freshmans and current students: are you/do you have meal plan? are the food worth it?

I had a meal plan freshman year because I was in Weinstein - I had 19 meals a week, and that was definitely enough for me. Food quality was a little bit of an issue, but I guess the upside is that I lost some belly fat. :D If you don't have a kitchen in your dorm room, I strongly suggest getting one (which I think is mandatory, anyway). Even if you're at UHall, it might be worth it - the dining hall there is pretty good, at least when I visited.

I'm pretty sure I read that the default for every student is 12-Meal meal plan, but the MINIMUM available for any Freshman that's REQUIRED to have a meal plan (all freshmen who live in dorms) is a 10-meal. If you live in an aparatment style, meal plan is optional.

ah good hmm sweet

yes, 10 meals per week is required of all freshmen who live in the dorms EXCEPT the apartment style dorms (uhall and 3rd north). i wouldnt worry about whether or not to get a meal plan until you find out where you are living, because more than likely you wont even have a choice.
