We ate at Malibu subs during Explore, and thought it was ok. But that was just one meal. Maybe if we had it day after day, it would become boring.

The commons, if i remember correctly, had 3 floors. Seems like we went downstairs to the area where Malibu Subs was located. Then, the last morning, there as a continental breakfast upstairs, at the highest floor. The breakfast foods had been placed in temporary carts or tables. So i am guessing that it was not an every day food place. Is that correct? It was an area with many tables, and windows with good views outside. Does anyone know what this area (that I am trying to describe) is used for?

The 2nd floor is upstairs commons, which is pretty much a sit-down restaurant that is only open for lunch. The ground floor contains Wolfgang Puck, Convenience Store items, Betty Crocker, Wasabi Sushi, and Colombo yogurt. The Basement is where La Salsa, Rice Garden and Malibu Subs are located.

I would say the worst food on campus is Malibu Subs. They really really suck imo, compared to Subway or Togo's.
when i did the Preview, i ate at La Salsa...great fish tacos, maybe not the best, but still really good. and my friend's little sister got a sub from Malibu Subs...it looked plain to say the least, i'd have rather made my own sandwiches.

the sushi place is on the first floor right? is it expensive, or could i feel comfortable about my dining dollars eating there every once in a while?

with the Cardinal or Gold plan, you should have enough dining dollars to at least sample all the dining venues on campus that accept dining dollars. Just be wise in spreading them out or else you'll end up eating EVK every day for the last month of the semester.

Yes, the sushi place is Wasabi Sushi. Sushi-to-go ranges from $5 to $10, and the really good sushi (from the menu) ranges from $10 to $15. I think the Dragon Roll is about $12, and I thought it was definitely worth it.

Good idea. However, someone should add a link to the new meal plan changes. They are very exciting, and should make eating at USC far more pleasant. I don't have the link on me, so if someone could do that, I'd appreciate it!
