Meal plans - transfer

I'm transfering into CC as soph, and I'm considering what meal plan is best. There's an offer that expires Jul. 31 for extra dining dollars, and what's average for someone who is not at all shy about getting off-campus to eat several times a week, but obviously will be having breakfast/lunch there most days? 30/45/75/150?

figure it out....

if there are 14 weeks a semester then there are 98 days. lets assume 2 meals/day so 196 meals total.

if you really think you are gonna wake up at 7am every morning to get breakfast then get the 150...if not, get the 75

Do you have to get a meal plan if you're a transfer? If not, realize that JJ has horrible food, is obscenely expensive and is undesirable. Just get points.

0 meals....you might want to get somewhere around 500 dining dollars though (i got 1000 before sophomore year...they roll over until you graduate, i pretty much ended up using the 1000 over three years)...i think they give you 10% extra as part of that same promotion so u'd be getting 550...plus on campus if you use dining dollars rather than cash you don't have to pay tax and its MUCH quicker. The dining hall is mostly for freshman who are forced to get a meal plan....upperclassmen do not frequent the dining hall often at all....if ever. You should by no means assume that you will want to eat at JJ twice a day or even every day for that matter if you do get a meal plan. There is no shortage of quick cheap food around campus that you will be able to eat....absolutely no reason to get meals....you can spend $12 much more productively elsewhere.
