Meal Plans

So I will be living in a residence hall type room (either Libra or Hercules) so won't have a kitchen. There is a kitchen in the common area, but its not very convenient to cook every meal there.

I care a lot about my health so want to eat well.

I know that I will make my own breakfast every day, so would only need about 2 meals/day. The meal plan of 150 meals/semester averages out to $8.33/day which for cafeteria style food seems very expensive.

Fast food is definetely cheaper, but eating that every day doesn't seem very healthy at all.

So what meal plans are you guys getting, if any, and what have you guys heard about the food at UCF?

I’ve actually heard the food really isn’t that bad, and that there’s always a somewhat healthy options. I feel like, no matter the food, you can eat well, as long as you control your portions. I’ll be getting a meal plan, not sure what they offer, though. I get hungry very easily, but don’t necessarily eat alot. What can we choose from?

The meal plans are all hugely expensive and only go by semester… but the food is good and there are plenty of healthy options. If cost is no factor than its the best bet. Other than that there are subways/chickfila’s and other healthy places that are quick too

I’m getting unlimited. I can’t cook to save my life and I eat a ton. The marketplace food was quite frankly delicious and they had a good variety of food to choose from. If I don’t like it after the first semester then I’ll reassess.
