12 Classic/1,500 Caf

From what I know from a number of current and prior freshman. You begin with the following presumption: none of the plans is that great so you work through the list and reject most:

Few if any ever actually use the 14 or more meals a week under the 14 classic or higher plan; multiple reasons: you don't get up in the morning to hit breakfast, you don't usually go to dining hall for lunch, come Sunday you can't stand any more of the dorm food and get something else, etc. Also, you need a plan with some Cafe Credits because you will go to the counter service joints once in a while

You need to be heavy into coffee and junk food to use those 4,500 or 6,000 credits and also use the 10 dining room meals per week under the 10 meal plans. You can use Cafe Credits for real dining hall meals but that is not why you buy the credits. I know no one whose ever even had the all Cafe Credit Plan.

The 12 meal/1500 credit plan is not a great plan either because you probably won't eat those 12 dorm meals a week (same reasons you don't do the 14 as noted above) and you may or may not use up those credits. However, all I know recommend that plan for one reason: it is the cheapest of all the equally bad plans that are offered.

I'm a freshman, and I can tell you the 12/1,500 is good enough if you plan to eat mostly at the cafeteria and will only go to late night here and there (maybe twice a week). You'll never use up the 12 meals though, I dont think I've ever even used 10 of those a week. 10/4,500 is a good choice to go with, that way you can get an equal variety of meals and late night foods.

thanks for the info =] i am going with the 10/4,500 plan. what are you majoring in and where are you dorming??

I'm still not sure to tell you the truth. Im currently in the Institute of Aviation's curriculum for Professional Piloting with a major towards Political Science. I'm dorming at Taft Hall.
