meal plans

which meal plans did people get. what do you recommend for someone who lives far away from campus? is it worth it to get the flex max or flex 10?

I got the flex 5. I live 2 hours away from home (San Diego)
If you eat a lot, then get the flex max.

I got flex max but that me I am 210 pound and 6 feet tall and played football so I have a good metabolism

I got Flex 10. I will be eating mostly at the cafeteria. Plus, I eat not a lot and not too little. Like in the middle. Flex Max is too much for me though. haha

if you can’t bring food from home often i say get a bigger meal plan. I don’t like the cafeteria food so i had the 5 meal plan when i was there my first year. but you can always change your meal plan in the beginning after the year starts. i think i had the 10 meal plan and changed it to 5

so if i live like 9 hours away, which plan should i get?

I say pick the ones with more meals, i’m not quite sure which ones are what, and you can adjust it after you get there. If you like the meals then increase, if you don’t then decrease, I mean you can use your bearbucks at the school you can use it to get Panda Express or pasta or you can grab a sandwhich at the convenience store. I mean I personally did not like the food, but I did live close so I brought food from home. There are close places to eat off campus also. There’s a trolly that goes from the dorms to the University Village where theres a movie theater and many places to eat like denny’s, fatburger, quiznos, pho, and many more. I say just pick one and adjust when you get there. hope this helps!
