in general, if you get around the mean/median in a class, you should get the grade listed in past median grade reports for that class? For example, the median grade for CS100J has always been about B/B+. If I received a 78.1 weighted score with a 77.4 class mean and an 80.8 class median, what kind of grade should i expect? i got a B- for the class, so i'm just wondering whether or not the median was exceptionally lower this semester or i just missed the cutoff. sorry, i don't mean to complain/rant-just trying to understand how everything works. if anyone could offer some insight, that would be fantastic.

anyone...please?

They may be curving the median to the border between a B and B-, so if you're below the median at all you would be getting a B-.
