Meaning of Deadlines?

<p>say the deadline for applying is Jan 1, 2011; does that mean I have to submit my application BEFORE Jan 1, as in click on the submit button on or before 11:59pm on Dec 31, or ON Jan 1, as in click the submit button by 11:59pm on Jan 1?</p>

<p>also whatever your answer is - is this universally used by all schools?</p>

<p>Whichever it might be, I’d still recommend having things prepared to upload a couple of days in advance, since servers pretty commonly crash on the due date with all the last minute uploads.</p>
