Hello, I am a undergrad Mech+Aerospace Major and I was wondering what minor (and if I should take one) I should take to expand my field. I am dual majoring because Mechanical takes just one extra semester to achieve. Thanks.

Is there a particular reason you want a minor? There is no reason to do one if you don’t have a goal in mind. It isn’t going to just randomly help your job prospects.

just out of curiosity, what is mech+aerospace major? are you double majoring? Im doing AE, but it is pretty different from ME after the core courses. you don’t need a minor unless you are really interested in that field.

Well at UF if you are an Aerospace Major, you can double major in Mechanical Engineering with just one extra semester worth of classes. I was looking into another minor because… I thought there would be a minor that would help me in my field of study.

You are already double majoring, I just don’t see the point of the minor. (FWIW, I don’t see the point of the double major either).

My suggestion would be to take Business courses if you need a minor or electives. Or, instead of going one extra semester for a double major, you could go one extra year for a Masters if your college offers that program.
