Mechanical and Electrical

I've narrowed down my selection for a major to these two. The only thing I really know about them is from reading the short blurb on collegeboard.com about each major.

I'm asking what the differences are between the two, and if anyone can expand on what these majors really are?

Nearly everything is different about them. They are based on the two “opposite” major fundamental areas of physics (mechanics and E&M).

Here’s the real difference: no matter which engineering school you go to, the mechanical engineering department will always be one floor below or behind the electrical engineering department. ALWAYS.
