Mechanical/Civil/Chemical Engineering but with a different undergrad degree?

I’m a current high school senior trying to decide on a college to go to. I think I might want to be an engineer but I’m not completely sure. Is it possible to get into one of the top graduate engineering programs, like at MIT or Stanford with an undergrad degree in physics, biochem, computational/applied mathematics, comp sci, or molecular engineering (not ABET accredited)?

Thanks!

Possible, yes–easier to transition from fields like math, physics, or computer science, but possible from others, too.

However, if you want to be an engineer, or go to graduate school for engineering, the best and simplest way to do it is to major in engineering. Since most of the first-year courses will be basics/pre-reqs, some of which will give you a taste for what engineering will be like, and most of which will also overlap with all the other majors you mentioned, why not try to get into an engineering program? If you decide it’s not for you, you can switch out to a different major.
