Mechanical engineering at UTD or UT Arlington?

Hello everyone,

I am currently a community college student with a 3.93 GPA and will be transferring to a university this fall. I recently got accepted to UTD for mechanical engineering. I know that the ME department is relatively new at UTD but is it better at UT Arlington? I contacted the advisers and did some research myself as well, but I would like further opinions before I make a decision. Both universities are close to me and I can commute.

@grtsuccess1 UT Arlington has a stronger presence and name recognition which matters when you’re looking for work and build networks. Also it’s important to note the largest number of engineers in DFW are UT Arlington graduates.
