What other job opportunities are there for mechanical engineering majors besides working for aerospace or biomed companies?

If you had looked before u posted, you will see there is an exact same topic on the same page. Do a search, this topic's been discussed hundreds of times already.

Is it just me or did the seach box disappear? :(
To add to the other thread, some mechE's do HVAC design.

ME is by far one of the most versatile engineering degrees and occupy positions way past biomedical or aerospace posts.

Honestly an ME can do anything within the engineering scope; material science, power systems, design, manufacturing, thermal fluid systems, construction, aerospace, defense, structural, oil and basically anything involving technology.

With graduate work you can easily get a job within the biomedical, nuclear, industrial or oil industries.

Actually, graduate work isn't even required for a lot of those jobs. Biomed is primarily staffed with MEs for their mechanical design positions. Nuclear engineers aren't produced in numbers to meet the demand. Mechanical engineers can get hired easily for nuke plants. Industrial jobs are huge employers of mechanical engineers. I'd be surprised if there were more IMEs employed than MEs in heavy industry. Oil companies hire MEs directly.
