Mechanical Engineering masters help

Hey,

I'm currently a senior at Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering, however my gpa is not that good, (2.8/4). I am looking forward to do a masters in mechanical engineering.

I got a 790 on the math and 500 on the English for the GRE with a 4 on the essay.

I also have around 2 and a half years of undergraduate research experience and am enrolled in the research option meaning I will write a thesis at the end of my undergrad. I have also won several awards as an undergrad researcher, the undergrad research symposium and president undergraduate research award.

I was wondering what you guys think are my options getting to good universities like:

Michigan (an arbour)
Illinois (urban-Champagne)
Purdue

If these seem to be out of my league I would appreciate some other school suggestions where I would have a bigger chance of admission but still being relatively good.

Thanks

GPA is way too low. You should apply for some other schools too. Your chances at those 3 schools is less than 5%

Which would be the best schools you think I could have an actual chance of getting in?
