just wanted to know what projects mechanical engineers at UIUC do at the undergrad level. write down the name of the project and a brief description as well as the course name.

like,

project1 (ME ### and name): description

well, you know how the ECE department has videos accompanying some of its courses describing what students will expect to learn and the “final project” they will work on?

ME 170 - design project at the end of the semester where you think up something and model it in ProE
ME 370 - Project 1: Given a design problem (different each semester) and asked to design a solution, including designing for all operating forces and conditions
ME 370 - Project 2: Given a design problem (different each semester) and asked to use ANSYS to design and model a solution
ME 371 - Project 1: Similar to project 1 of ME 370
ME 371 - Project 2: Come up with, design, and produce any new item/machine/product of your choice
ME 470 - Senior Design Project (Capstone): You pair up with a company and work with a team to solve a problem that they pose. This semester, I am working on this project, where mine is designing the cooling system for a new supercomputer at Argonne National Lab.

Those are all of the major projects you will have in ME. There are some minor ones, like a week-long design/optimization problem in ME 310 and ME 320, but that is it.

I am a final year student of mechanical and production engineering. I want some suggested project topics I will embark on as my final year project. It can be construction or research. I school in Nigeria. Thanks
