Mechanical Engineering

Is it better to get a masters in mechanical engineering than aerospace engineering? As of right now aerospace engineering is my major. I was thinking that since getting a degree in mechanical engineering can make you an automotive engineer, aerospace engineer, etcetera, wouldn’t it be better to get a degree in that so I’m not just tied down to aerospace engineering if I choose to go a different path later on in my life?

What types of jobs are you looking for?
After you work in an area, then your work experience is more important than your degree area.

There is no universal “better”. It all depends on your own personal goals.
