Mechanics and E&M

Hi, I'm a sophomore in high school right now. I'm wondering if it would be better to take both Physics C: Mechanisc and E&M my senior year, or to take Mechanics next year and E&M senior year? Note that I would take E&M online, since my school only offers Mechanics. And math-wise, I'm in pre-cal now, and I'll probably take Calc AB next year and BC senior year. So what do you think I should do?

These are very difficult calculus-based physics classes that most advanced students don’t take. Check out the AP statistics web site which tells you how many students take each exam each year and the number who score a 1,2,3,4,5. Then discuss your thoughts with other students from your school or graduates who have taken these classes. Also talk to your AP Physics and calculus teachers and GC. Lastly take a look at the exams especially the level of math needed.

bump (it’s off the first page)

I independently studied both last year and got 5s. I HIGHLY recommend you complete at least AB before attempting either, but more so E&M.
