<p>I'm majoring in computer science and mechanical engineering, but it would be nice to create my own major aka mechatronics. It would be a nice way to combine aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering with a computer science major. Does RIT let students create majors?</p>

<p>No school does, as far as I know. Mostly because there are such things as Accreditation boards that certify programs and majors.</p>
<p>However, that doesn’t stop you from taking courses in both majors, even to the degree of double majoring.</p>
