Mecheng235?

I was able to find some comments about Prof. Kurabayashi at ratemyprofessors.com but couldn't find anything about Prof. Siegel. Any comments about him?
Also, do you think taking mecheng 211, 235, 250 all together would be feasible?

Thanks :)

take it with kevin pipe if he’s teaching. He is a great prof.

I never took 250 but I took 211 and 235 and they are by no means hard classes, or classes that take a lot of time. You will be fine.

The only thing I had to do for both classes were to show up for 3 hours of classes a week for each, spend 2 hours the morning the weekly hw is due to finish the hw, and cram for 2 nights before the 3 exams. And after a couple weeks I even stopped showing up for ME 211 lectures because the piece of S prof was completely worthless, reducing the time commitment to 2 hours per week plus 2 nights of cramming per exam. With that little time commitment I was able to get an A in ME211 and am on track to getting an A+ in ME235 (if he gives A+s)… Not that bad of a deal on a grade/(time commitment) basis.

Remember though, bearcats is perfect

Im taking 211, 240 and 250 next semester so I think you’re good

bearcats, didn’t you take 240 as well? damn that’s a lot of non-IOE related classes.

Siegel taught last fall, but I didn’t take it with him so I can’t comment on that.

Taking the 3 together is doable, but it takes a good amount of time every week to do well.

Yup take it with Kevin Pipe if he’s teaching. 211, 235 & 250 together won’t be that hard. I didn’t even go to 250 lectures because it was easier for me to just read the slides than listening to the japanese professor…there’ll definitely be a groupwork project for 250, you might need to take that into account.

On the other hand I still remember when I took the second midterm for 235 I went into the exam room for Thermo II instead. Freaked out when I didn’t understand a thing on the exam paper.
