What would you have to do in order to get into a med program right after high school? Would you have to do research, certain SATs, grades, etc.?

usually you need upwards of a 1400, high gpa (usually top ten percent) and some medically related ec's...and if you make the first cut, you have to interview....

Would that be a 2240 on the new SAT? Also what kind of ECs?

like volunteering medical-related, also hopefully some actual internship or shadowing experience

Also would that 1400 be like 2200 on the new SAT?

2400=1.5*1600

1400*1.5 = 2100

So not quite.

2240 is absolutely fine, but you wanna make sure bout Cr+M is higher than 1400, writing will not have as big an effect.

Also, how many students get accepted to accelerated programs such as BA/MD? Is it extremely competitive?

1400 = CR/M portion only

It's VERYYYYY competitive....less than 1% of applicants at most schools....this may vary if a school prefers in-state or OOS

average student body for accelerated program runs from 10-30...i think Brown is upwards 40

yeah, brown has like 60-70 some ppl but that's jus cuz of the sheer volume of ppl applying to it....you won't find acceptance rates higher than 8% at most...comparable to and prolly harder to get into than an ivy...brown is an ivy, so you gotta get into there first to be considered for their program...haha fun.

There are 55 students in the most recently admitted PLME class. More than 1650 applied. 5% acceptance rate.
