Med School Admissions

So the pay is the same for both D.O. and M.D.?

yes … lol

What is the average GPA that you should aim for if you want to go to a good med school?

3.5 or above for med school. 3.8 or above for a top med school.

aim for a 4.0, can’t hurt you, med school admission is becoming increasingly competitive, mroe and more kids are turning up with higher gpas. its kinda like college admissions!

oh man a 3.8 GPA at cornell… O_O!!! haha… I better write a kick butt med school essay and get a high MCAT score!

A 3.8 at Cornell must be ridiculous to get… especially with the pre-med track.
Wow!

Not really. If you work 30-40% as hard as you will in med school, you should be able to achieve a reasonable GPA.

what % of those students get a 3.8 GPA? >.<!!! also, if you lets say get a cornell degree and apply for cornell’s med school, will that give u an advantage? O_o… just wondering haha…

Pretty sure it wouldn’t, I think a lot of people will tell you that, not entirely sure though so maybe someone else can tell you, but I’m pretty sure it’s that way

And remember, GPA and MCAT score are a large portion of the acceptance, but there is a lot more you will need on top of that, don’t just aim on perfecting two components, make the effort and do much more than that

3.8 is mad hard. maybe hahahha. i just do bad on finals
