I've transferred twice.
I really wanted to go to MSU and swim competitively however, my mother made me go to Loyola University Chicago which she insisted was cheaper when it really wasn't.
For whatever reason, depression kicked in for the first time in my life as I was there and I ****ed up. Getting a 1.4 GPA.
My second semester sophomore year, my mom got cancer so I left.
I took a semester off, then attended Harper, a community college, and did much better. I got a 3.6 and my associates, after which I went to Northeastern Illinois because it was the only university I could afford and stay at home. I've been there a year and have a 4.0.
I'm a bio and philosophy major and I want to either go to med school to be a doctor or grad school and become a research scientist.

My mother just informed me that she will only be paying for this next semester of school. After which, I'd have to pay myself.

I'm willing to put myself through school though I'm worried I won't be able to get into grad school or med school due to how poorly I did at my first school.

Do I have a shot if I keep my GPA at a 4.0 and get a good MCAT score? (med school is plan a)

-- i know it's complicated.
