Med School statistics

I am looking for something that might approximate this from Duke:

http://prehealth.trinity.duke.edu/appendix/2006HPACAnnualReport.pdf

I tried searching the website (with few results), and any information would be very helpful!

I found the post-graduate survey:

MOST FREQUENTLY ATTENDED MEDICAL SCHOOLS

• Johns Hopkins University School of
Medicine
• Harvard Medical School
• Albert Einstein College of Medicine
• University of Pennsylvania Medical
School
• Case Western Reserve University
• University of Maryland School of
Medicine
• New York University School of
Medicine
• 25 other medical schools reported

http://www.jhu.edu/careers/docs/postgrad_Class05.pdf

I think if there is one thing you don't have to be worried about, it's the medical school placement from a place like Johns Hopkins undergrad. I believe the official number is 91% of those who want to go to medical school from Hopkins, do.

Of those who go to graduate school from Hopkins, 27% go on to Medical School and are doing either an MD or MD/PHD. What I think is most interesting about this number is that only 1/4 students at Hopkins are pre-med meaning there is a nice balance of student interests at Hopkins.

yea lol...i remembered we argued about jhu vs duke statistically wise in med school placements sometime ago lol...under a ucb thread lol =D anyhow...brings back old memories of procrasination o.O http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=285535&page=16&highlight=duke+ucb
the only thing i would change regarding my previous post is about the deflation thing...i just don;t want to say something i know can possibly be not true...both of those 2 jhu students who one posted on cc and the other on sdn regarding the mean gpa ended up never providing any sort of valid evidence regarding the mean gpa...so i cannot comment on that...also one caution...this is also under the assumption that the listed mean gpa and mcats do not include jhu alumni
edit: anyhow...yea...focusing on the statistics of the means of getting somewhere gets sooo confusing, that it just becomes so much easier to look at the end result...which is jhu has the largest percentage of undergrads attending med school immediately following 4yrs of undergrad when compared w/ all the other universities that provided data to us news

if i remember correctly jhu pre-med committee will not give you a good cover letter unless they are pretty sure youll get in. they sort of pre-screen to make sure that theyre statistics stay high. again im not sure of this

143 Asians applied last year and only around 19% of student body class is asian meaning around 228 premed+nonpremed students at jhu each yr r asian...o.O. don;t wrry about finishing the advising, more than a great majority get through it...besides the future me =(

agreed with pollyo -- the stats for any school are kind of skewed because, as the bio professor at JHU said at his departmental info session, schools pretty much won't let you apply if your stats, etc. are too low or you don't have a relatively good chance of getting in.
