Does anybody know someone personally that is applying to med school out of NC State's biology program? If so, can I have their contact info?

Is it realistic to have this as my goal for the future. I have wanted to be a doctor my whole life and I am just wondering what programs NC State has for its pre-health students.

any info would be helpful...

There are a lot of majors that will well prepare you for applying to med school:
*BIOCHEMISTRY (BS)
*BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES (BS)
*BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES - NUTRITION CONC (BS)
*BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING (BS)
*BIOPROCESSING SCIENCE (BS)
*MARINE SCIENCE-BIOLOGICAL OCEANOGRAPHY (BS)
*MICROBIOLOGY (BS)
*PRE-MEDICAL/PRE-DENTAL ADVISING OPTION
*ZOOLOGY (BS)
and many more..

You do not necessarily have to major in Biology to get into Med school. And a lot of people from NCSU end up going to medical and dental school after graduation.

I read in the newspaper recently of a guy who majored in Criminal Justice at Appalachian and got in Dental sch.

On a humorous note, if it is in a newspaper, it is a very unusual occurance.
