Anyone attending tomorrow?

Nah too far to travel and RPI isnt one of the tops on my list.

I went to it yesterday and it was a great time. I took a campus tour, residence hall tour (one of the freshmen dorms, I forgot the name but it one of the "many similar freshmen dorms") and went to "physics is truly magic." The people there were very friendly and outgoing, not what an outsider might expect from an engineering school. One particular guy in the bookstore went out of his way to tell me about himself. When I told him I was unsure about what major I might pursue (although I have thought about physics) he automatically brought up physics and said it was like "the swiss army knife of majors." Not only are they friendly and informative, but the students are masters of telekinesis.

The class was interesting too, at one point, the prof made a noise like a cruise ship but putting a cardboard tube over a bunsen burner. It was really loud.

Overall, it was very informative and exceptionally well organized. I enjoyed myself. RPI wasn't my first choice going in, but the experience has made my decisions much more complicated:)

Thanks All of you!

jdub27: Glad to hear you enjoyed it. My son received the medal his junior year of high school and at that time, RPI wasn't even on his list. He really enjoyed the Medalist Open House and it moved to second on his list. After visiting his first choice school, he decided to attend RPI and is currently a freshman there. So far, he seems to be enjoying it. Good luck to you.
