Does anyone know of the specific schools that offer media concentrations and/or a good curriculum in media? (I already know that NYU Stern and Columbia have media concentrations available.)

Also, are these programs actually helpful for people pursuing careers in the media industry? They seem pretty sound, but I don't know anyone who's actually graduated from them.

Thanks for any help. :)

If you want to work on the business side of media the route that many people follow is going to a good undergrad then working in ibanking or consulting (more from this side) and then making the switch over to industry...i'd just look for schools with good finance/accouting/management programs.

I am currenlty interning in the finance & corporate development department at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer working with the top execs at the firm and it seems like most of the executives followed these routes, or a law route where they were at a big law firm and then made the switch.

Most of the interns here are either from top 20 undergrad schools or top 10 MBA programs (btw 1st and 2nd year).
