<p>What is the avg gpa admitted for Media Studies at UC Berkeley?
I'm also thinking of International Development studies at UCLA
my uc gpa is 3.5 with one W and one C in pre-calc..5 B's in igetc classes and A's in pre-req for int' dev studies..AND for media studies..(still need to take one more class for both majors)
do you guys think i have a chance to get into either one of them?
I still have to take Japanese as my foreign language but my cc doesnt offer it so
i was thinking of taking it at other school next semester...
can I still apply this year for next fall to UCLA even w/o foreign language,,?
PLEASE help me to figure out my chance of getting into my dream school...............
I would really appreciate it .....</p>
<p>Hi Dani.</p>
<p>I’m sorry to inform you, but UCLA is no longer accepting transfer students into their IDS program. </p>
<p>[Transfer</a> Major Prep - International Development Studies - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](<a href=“http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/lsmajors/intl_dev.htm]Transfer”>Transfer Preparation Requirements — International Development Studies* | UCLA Undergraduate Admission)</p>
<p>As for Media Studies at Berkeley, It’s hard to accurately estimate the average GPA for incoming transfers in that major, but you should try to get a higher GPA than a 3.5 and supplement it this fall with volunteer work.</p>
<p>Good luck!</p>
<p>^ It’s true. ): I was bummed, until I heard about Global Studies! It’s a bit more competitive but they’re very similar. They have practically the same pre-reqs as well. You should look into it.</p>
<p>I think the average GPA for global studies is 3.8 (IDS was 3.6 I think) but if you do TAP (which you should), I’d say you’re definitely in.</p>
<p>WOW…im really shocked…
i cant believe this…
what is TAP?</p>
