Is Medical Board of California Approved Schools List Welcome to the Medical Board of California - Medical Schools Recognized by the Medical Board of California a good and reliable source to understand if a medical school is good, selective etc. or not?

I’d say your best resource will the the U.S. News rankings - the new one just came out, you can search by a variety of programs (e.g., rural medicine, research, primary care), and if you pay for access (or go by the book in a store) you get more information on MCAT scores, GPA, number of applications received, accepted and matriculated, etc.

But I am an international student who wants to study in Turkey.

Only if you want to practice in California.

As an individual who works for a school that was recently approved by California, I can vouch that the criteria is pretty rigorous. Put to tests and standards more difficult than many US schools could pass.

MMM, actually the California list is used by almost half the states in the country.
