Today I received a letter saying that I was medically disqualified for USMA, but they did say they requested a review of my file for a medical waiver. That's weird since on the DoDMERB report, it only asked for remedials. I did the tests again and they showed the conditions of concern were indeed due to running. I sent to DoDMERB the signed report around Thanksgiving. It takes a few weeks for DoDMERB to process the papers, right? So I'm hoping they disqualified me based on my initial physical. Would the remedial have any effect on their review, and if so, would it make a big impact?

Contact Larry Mullen, Deputy Director of DoDMERB, over at [United States of America Service Academy Forums](http://www.serviceacademyforums.com) . He will have an answer for you in 24 hours or less.

I found out what my DQ was for: “Myopia-refractive error greater than-8.00 diopters (spherical equivalent).” My eyes are 9.25 and 8.75, respectively. They’re correctable to 20/20. Any chance I can get a waiver? If so, would I need to talk to anyone in addition to my regional commander?
