Hi Everyone,
I am a junior in high school. I got accepted to NASS and I am hoping to become a midshipmen at the Naval Academy. The only thing is, I just found out that allergy shots taken within the preceding 12 months of the medical exam is an automatic disqualification. I am really panicking right now. However, I just read this on their website, "If you have a disqualifying condition, you will be automatically considered for a waiver if/when you receive a Conditional Offer of Appointment." I will be done taking my allergy shots in 2 months, but it is already to late to be a year free of them before my exam. My brother is already at the academy and I feel like I could be a competitive candidate if not for my allergies.

Allergies- Trees, some grass, dogs, and cats. All that really happened before my shots was that my nose watered and my eyes itched. THAT'S IT.

My allergy shots have not affected my athletics at all:
I went to state in Nordic skiing this year
I can run a 5:00 minute mile
I can do 55 pushups in two minutes
18 pull-ups
I play varsity soccer

My questions are: How often are waiver's given and for what reasons? If I got offered an appointment what would be my chances of receiving a waver?

Any help/input is greatly appreciated. Best Regards-
