So if you're a pre-med student, what kind of internships should you be looking at to do over summer? And I'm assuming that they don't pay well or at all huh? Haha thanks everyone.

The best if you are a US citizen is with the government. It is not faulty, but don’t expect to get paid. If you’re a good student, and have been accepted at the college and major in pre med, you can get a scholarship. You get a scholarship you are going to have to do 10 weeks of research with the government. You can also work for them full time after graduation for a year. For more info: [NIH Student Training Opportunities](http://www.training.nih.gov/student/)

There are tons of internships for you out there. Internships are whether you pay, they don’t pay you, or they pay you little. It’s because you probably don’t have a lot of experience. Check here for internships, if you’re not interested in the government ones, or is an International student, [Pre-med Internships](Pre-med Internships)

most medical internships do not pay at all. so if you find one that actually pays then thats pretty impressive

I agree - I’m an intern at one of the biomedical labs at Penn right now and I only get paid a little over minimum wage.
