Medical school in china... good or bad idea?

My parents want me to go to medical school in China and then practice in the US. I have questions.

Is this a bad or good idea?

Is it harder or easier to get in and succeed there?

Are there any issues with transferring your medical degree there to the US?

Thanks!!!!!

No.

Foreign applicants typically have a much harder time to get into medical school, residencies, and pass examinations. I don’t know if the topics will be easier, but you’ll certainly not be as equipped to practice in the US if you get your training on the other side of the world. I would also be cautious that your Chinese medical degree may not be recognized by medical registries.

Agree with above. The ONLY reason to go abroad for med school if you want to practice in the US is because you can’t get into a US MD or DO school.

If you want to actually practice medicine within the United States, it is a horrible idea. Period.
