Hi, if you go to for example Johns Hopkins university, then would you have a higher chance getting into Johns Hopkins medical school? Thank you.
No
In general, no, but it’s actually slightly more nuanced than that.
First, you’d need to be a competitive applicants for JHU with all the necessary credentials, high GPA, high MCAt, outstanding LORs, interesting/unique ECs, a stellar research background. Assuming you’re equal to or better than most other applicants, the fact that your LORs come from a faculty member that the adcomm knows and respects might give you a slight edge for admission.
But that’s a whole lotta ifs and there’s no way to tell ahead of time if those will all fall into place.
IOW, don’t bet the bank on attending JHU undergrad giving you the necessary tip to get into JHU SOM.
Take a look at JHU SOM’s class profile:

Hi I’m going to be a junior this week and I’m curious if there are some good universities of medicine in the U.S.A. Not the top ones, but the ones that are approved to be good or famous.

Are you an international? If so, that will mean it will be even more difficult for you to get into a US MD school.
I was born here and when i was in third grade i went to another country for four years and i came back here late freshman year
SInce you’re still in high school, please ready these stickied threads first:
Both are about how to choose a undergrad college.
