I am considering applying to Hopkins because I am wondering if there is any correlation between getting into the undergrad and getting into the medical school. Does the medical school favor students who have complete Hopkins' undergrad?

I'm pretty sure that's been posted here before...

IIRC the answer is that Undergraddies have the same admit rate as non-JHU Undergraddies...

AdmissionsDaniel: "bluejay79: You are innacurate in what you allude to that it is harder for JHU undergrads to get into Hopkins Medical. Another one of the rumors out there that is not backed by the numbers. For the last few years, the largest %age of enrolling Hopkins Medical students has been Hopkins undergraduates. I've comented on this many times before."

Hmm...

Ok, sorry didn't see that. Thank you.

Plus, it's nice to spend four yrs somewhere else than where you plan to study medicine. JHU Med is so hard to get into go to the undergrad where you want to attend not where you think it will help four yrs down the road, when your mind might have changed anyways....
