medical schools- ap calculus credit?

according to a bio session during o-week,
med schools, top ranking ones at that, do, in fact, accept advanced placement credit
for ap calculus.
yes, not for science and writing related topics, but for calculus bc.

still, i was a bit hesitant and signed up for calc i anyhow, but
it's very redundant and i feel like this is taking an unncessarily large portion of my time.

is it true? do med schools accept ap calculus credit?
if so, i'd rather take another class in place of calc 1110

premeds/succesful ex premeds- any advice?

take statistics instead?

actually, i was hoping for a non pre-med related course,
since i pretty much hate all of my classes right now

i guess the best thing would be to make a list of med schools i’m interested in
and call 'em up individually

most medical schools accept. a couple don’t i believe. what year are you? it may be kinda early for you to be worrying about these things right now…

As far as I know, the ones that actually require Math, you can use AP credit (but I’m only a Freshman as well…)

Do what I did:

Take AP Calculus Credit for AB (gets you Math 1110).
Pass go, collect $200, and take Calculus 2 (Math 1120).
Ass is covered for 99% of medical schools.

that or you can also take statistics which may be a requirement for some research positions
