I have been out of school for several years now and for two years I attended a public university but had to withdraw (i was granted a medical withdrawal) for purposes of transferring to another college do I list this as my last attended college even though my transcripts will have nothing but "medical withdrawal" listed on it? I did attend another school before that and can list that, but otherwise I feel like im just spending money for a blank transcript to be sent out... any thoughts?

I also withdrew for medical reasons one semester, and I had the registrar put a letter explaining the circumstances into the same envelope as the official transcript. Even if the transcript just has W’s on it, you should really still send it out.

You have to spend the money and have the transcripts sent.

Then is it a good idea to put in a letter saying why? I really prefer not to, I was the victim of what the police called a “vicious crime” that resulted in a required surgery amongst other things (i still carry the deformity with me to this day). I just really don’t think it’s any of their business and its something that is personal, but I guess if that is what I have to do to move on… just seems unfair (end whine). I think what I will do is send in the transcripts and if they require more info I will provide it. Thank you for the replies.

You could say something lke: Medical leave, now fully recovered. You don’t have to go into details.
