Medically Withdrew from School and Transferring

Hello, I am on this forum because I need serious advice. I attended a 4 year university after graduating high school. During my freshman year I became really sick out the blue and returning my sophomore year the same health issue came back. I eventually had to return home and seek treatment which has taken roughly two years. My school is not allowing me to make up work and has given me failing grades from my last semester. I had a high B average graduating high school and have a 3.2 average with community college courses I took my last year of high school. I wondering what my chances are of getting into a decent university with my last transcript of failing grades without going to community college to improve my transcript.

With an explanation (bring medical docs as evidence), the admissions may accept that your faililng grades are an abnormality and be willing to admit you. No harm in speaking your case. Remember, colleges WANT to admit students (and their tuition dollars, of course).

If you medically withdrew, wouldn’t you have Ws on your transcript for that last semester? Did you follow the proper process for getting a medical withdrawal? It sounds like you think you withdrew, but the college thinks you failed the classes. Are you trying to get a medical withdrawal after the fact?
