Medieval 2 Total War/Rome Total War

<p>Does anyone here play these? I just got those games off Steam but there are hardly any games available. Were those games more active a few years ago? I'm used to playing Age of Empires II online, and there were always huge numbers of open games available for that. </p>

<p>Also, do most of the people play Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms MP? Or Rome Total War Alexander MP? Or do they mostly play the original games?</p>

<p>I play Rome Total War on LAN, but I usually don’t see more than a few online servers. I think Empire Total War is the most popular at the moment, with the multiplayer campaign mode</p>
