Hello,
I got into Medill journalism and I've been really excited to go, however, the current controversy with the new dean and curriculum is really giving me doubts and I'd like some input from alums/current students/whomever. Basically, I'm deciding between NU and Berkeley. I lean heavily towards NU because Medill's prestige in the journalism industry is amazing, however, now I'm wondering if it's worth it to go. The new focus on marketing/technology is understandable, but from what I've read, the classes sound really messy and the Dean's reputation pretty much sucks. I assume things will get better in time, however, will it improve soon enough? And most importantly, will it greatly effect the quality of education?
I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me some GOOD news about Medill, but please do not hesitate to be honest.

Thanks!
