What is the admit rate for medill (regular decision)?

Is it true that math/science grades count less?

Is it true that it’s very easy to transfer to Weinberg?

Just wanted to clarify some rumors I’ve heard on cc
Thanks :)

I remember 15% or so, but i could be wrong.

Yes (compared to McCormick or WCAS at least), but in turn, they emphasize journalism ECs.

Yes, no problem in transfering from what I hear. Many Medill students major in journalism and another often in WCAS.

I remember someone citing a number last year of applicants vs admitted to Medill and remarking to myself how low the % was (which I calculated in my head).

The number I've been quoted by Medill admins over the past few years has been in the 15% range. I have never seen numbers in print. I'll add, though, that I personally believe admit rates predict admission difficulty much less well than standardized test scores. In some cases they reflect popularity du jour, notoriety du jour, or indundate my mailbox with glossy flyers jour after jour.

As far as later transfering to WCAS (or Comm or Ed or that matter), as often discussed on CC, no difficulty, easily done.
