one of my friend's dad went to U of Delaware for college, then Temple U for med school to become a family physician.
my question is, do mediocre colleges prepare you well enough to do well in MCAT? Do you get the "easy way" to become a doctor? I also heard ppl going to med school after 2-3 yrs of college. can u explain how that works? thx!

Some medical schools will consider applicants who have not obtained a Bachelor's degree. Those schools only require the applicant to have completed the pre-med courses, and the MCAT. This, to my knowledge, is not very common.

There's also some accelerated combined medical programs, that you would apply to as a high school student. Those programs will have you spend 2 or 3 years, depending on the program, completing the pre-med requirements/Bachelor's degree, before moving on to medical school. These programs are competitive to get into, and are very popular because they guarantee admissions to medical school provided that the student maintains a minimum GPA, and obtains a minimum MCAT score.
