I know this is the Michigan board and all, but do any of you know anything about the medstart program at Wayne State? They don't have a board on here.

yeah i know a little about it...i applied there...what do you want to know about it?

is it really hard to get into? how many people apply vs. how many are accepted? and what does a typical acceptee's stats look like?

I don't know actual numbers. I know that less then 25 people (yes thats right 25) are admitted into the program. Hundreds apply. It is a very, very, very selective program. A person who gets into a Medstart program has the same stats as an ivy-leage bound applicant. I believe that michigan residency helps out a little bit in the medstart application process. I had a friend who got in last year. This friend was salutorian of a private high school, and also got into brown university. it's a difficult program! Hope that helped....

were you admitted?

no i haven't heard yet. I highly doubt i'd get in- i'm not that smart lol
