<p>On Friday, September 3, 2010, Housing and Residential Communities will be
hosting an Open House event to kickoff the Family Weekend festivities from
4-6pm in the Ridgecrest South Lobby and Courtyard (Rain location is the
Ridgecrest South Atrium on the 2nd floor of the north tower). This will be a
wonderful opportunity for you to connect with fellow residents, their parents,
and staff members of Housing and Residential Communities to discuss what has
been happening in the halls to date and what fun events we have planned for the
rest of the academic year. This year, over 3,700 parents and family members have
registered for Family Weekend so we expect a great crowd to be in attendance.
Light refreshments will be served during the event and all on-campus residents
and their parents are encouraged to stop by and visit with the staff of Housing
& Residential Communities.</p>

<p>I’m not sure what our plans are, but we will definitely be at the game and hope to see some of you there! When the date for Parents’ Weekend was announced I thought it was waaaaay too early. But now that it is here we are definitely more than ready to see our girl!</p>

<p>We may end up at the Beach Bash but I kind of doubt it. We are taking D and a couple of her friends to dinner (maybe DiPalma’s if the wait isn’t too atrocious) and then we will see what the evening brings from there. We are driving so it will have been a long day!</p>
