So I plan on using TAG to transfer and here's what UCI's TAG requirements say

"has completed one UC-transferable English course with a grade of C or better by the end of the summer 2012 term (second UC-transferable English course must be completed by spring 2013)"

and here's what the University of California's transfer admission page says

"Entry-level writing requirement

You must satisfy the entry-level writing requirement to graduate in any program at UC. One way to meet this requirement is to complete a transferable college course of three semester (four quarter) units in English composition with a grade of C or better. Students who meet our basic requirements for minimal transfer eligibility, which include two transferable college courses in English composition, satisfy the entry-level writing requirement.

Many transfer students fulfill this requirement while in high school by achieving minimum scores on the following tests:

3 on the College Board Advanced Placement Examination in English (Language or Literature)
5 on the International Baccalaureate Higher Level Examination in English (Language A only)
6 on the IB Standard Level Examination in English (Language A only)
30 on the ACT Plus Writing test; or 680 on the Writing section of the SAT Reasoning Test"

I passed the AP Lang and the AP Lit exam so I am wondering if I have to take Eng100 and Eng101 at my community college (I can bypass Eng100 but if I do need to take an English class, the other levels are harder for me to get into since it's crowded)? I would think that my AP scores excuse me from taking an English course but since I did not receive a grade (C or higher), I'm not sure if it will meet the TAG requirement.

Also, TAG requires that I complete one UC-transferable math course by the end of summer 2012 and I have credit from a Cal State because my teacher in high school was also a college professor who gave his students a grade at a Cal State. I should be fine then, right? Because I did receive a grade for Calc AB and Calc BC.

Thanks
