Meeting requirements before/after applying

Is it okay to apply to medical schools before all of the requirements are met (assuming that they will be met before I graduate). I've read on admissions sites that they will grant you conditional acceptance assuming you complete all the requirements before you matriculate, but my concern is that you may be looked at not as positively as someone else who's completed everything.

To be more specific, I plan on having chem, bio, physics, and orgo done before applying, but I plan to take biochem and genetics my senior year (plan on matriculating the fall after my senior year). Will that be okay? Will that hurt me in any way? Thanks for any help/advice/experience!

Yes. 10char.

So long as your pre-reqs are completed before you matriculate into med school, it’s OK.

It won’t hurt your admission chances.

Definitely okay to not have everything completed at application time. Definitely NOT okay to not actually follow through and take those courses. I’ve seen it happen - a guy who started out in my medical school class didn’t fulfill the course requirements, was dismissed early the second week of med school.

-Incorrect. However, I advise to take genetics before MCAT, D. said it was helpful for MCAT along with physiology. She said that first Bio class did not have much to do with MCAT.
