Meh Grade but High AP Score?

What would a college look at more favorably…A student with a B+ in AP Calc but a 5 on the exam, or a student with a A in AP Calc but a 3 or a 4? Or would they look at both equally in terms of academic prowess?

yoyoyyo? bumpity…

This is how I feel about my APUSH course. I only have a B, but I’m pretty confident I can get a 5 as my teacher is very difficult, which I guess also prepares us well.

In regards to the class grade, every year, almost every single person in my AP classes get a 4 or a 5 but on that note it’s pretty damn hard to get an A. I wonder if colleges ever take this into account?

Wow we’re in the same boat! I posted a thread about this earlier today, but I am hoping to offset the mediocre grade with 5/800 math 2. Also something that might help depending on your situation: ask your GC to talk about the (seemingly) grade deflation in your class. Believe it or not, I collected class averages from every student for every trimester from last year in Calc BC and this year. Average went from A- to B-. I also have many other things for GC to address about the class in my rec. This will actually help (according to a top 10 school admission office volunteer). This is probably the best advice for students like us.
