I am interested in biology with a quantitative emphasis. This may include molecular biology, structural biology, computational biology and bioinformatics, and possibly exploration of bioengineering/BME courses.

I loved CMU and I know its engineering and CS programs are top-notch, but I was wondering how good the biological sciences program at Mellon College of Science is, as it does not seem as esteemed as some of the other programs. I might consider doing the computational biology degree through MCS. Does anyone here have experience with this major or the biology program at MCS in general?
