Memorization for the Chemistry?

For the SATII Chem, should I memorize in-depth information like heat of formations, pressures of gases, etc.? Or will I be safe just being familiar with these? The prep book I'm using has tables in the back, and they're making me nervous.....

Any help or other tips are greatly appriciated, since I'm taking chem, world history, and math Ic, and chemistry is worrying me the most. I think I'll go gray before I ever get into college, lol.

I'm taking chemistry. Chemistry is largely dependant on memorization to begin with (not all of course) so I think that memorizibg a few things that would help you in the test is not as bad an idea as you might think.

All the stuff you're talking about, if they want information using it in the problem, they give it to you.

I took chem II in may, not memorizing any of the specific numbers. Basic stuff you have to know: specific heat of water is 4.184 J/gram celsius...

no need to memorize heat of formation for compounds, or pressures of gases.

SAT II chem is a joke (at least to me) I did no studying (apart from the in-class studying we did for the AP test in may) and I got a 790.

bump, anyone else? (and thanks evilbooya)

It would be ridiculous if you had to memorize all those numbers. Any numbers you need, you'll be given.

whew I really hate memorization, so this makes me feel a bit better, thanks!

Yeah, it really isnt as bad as most prep books make it out to be.

no need to memorize specific heat and those constants.
