I have been hearing different things around these and other forums but I know I want to go into investment banking or management.
I want to know if going to Mendoza in Notre Dame would give me the best opportunities in investment banking as compared to other undergraduate bschools like AEM in Cornell, ross in michigan, stern in NYU or mcdonough in gtown.
Some people say recruiting for Ibanking is not as good as other schools at mendoza but Notre dame connections are the strongest you can get.
Which will give the best opportunities? Is Notre Dame a great choice?

There were a few girls in my building from Notre Dame last summer. But the majority of em were there for sales/marketing and pr internships. When considering the amount of interns I met, i'd say about 95% had received a job through the referral of a family member at an investment bank.

In a market like this, i'd say you should be more concerned with your network than school. But a high GPA + great ECs and experience does matter.

IMO, i'd be a super duper rockstar if I chosen to go to NYU. Everyone in manhattan is in banking. The networking opportunities are endless.

so would you recommend notre dame over those other programs? Because I know the Mendoza is very highly thought of, but you say that networking is most important. Would its loyal alumni be helpful or would georgetown or nyus locations be better?

Proximity to NYC matters a lot in networking. Ross will give you a shot at interviews, but Stern will give you that PLUS really easy networking to get even more interviews
