Mendoza

So, Businessweek ranked Mendoza as the Best Undergraduate Business School 2012 just a couple of days ago. So third year in a row. Can someone who knows it well say a little about it? Because I have to admit I have had minimal knowledge about this school, since when most ppl start talking about undergad business schools it usually leads to wharton, stern, tepper, etc.
Also, I just want to say that sure magazine rankings of schools etc. aim to sell magazines, but it still has some basis, and I just want to know what that is. What has made Businessweek put Mendoza where it is now?

Did you read the write-up that accompanied the article? It talks about the student perceptions of the Mendoza programs, recruiter perceptions, starting salaries, and other factors. Read the full article and see if what you read about the school fits your needs as a student. Mendoza is highly regarded for its emphasis on ethics and social responsibility, as well as its intense academics. The graduate programs are highly regarded, as well, but ND is very focused on undergraduates in all disciplines. You will rarely have an instructor who is not a full professor even as a freshman (TA’s will help with labs and discussion sections on occasion.) This emphasis on quality education from the beginning (First Year Studies program for all freshmen) is why the retention and graduation rates are so high. BusinessWeek has apparently recognized this.
